Ethan Adam Sisson

Obituary
Ethan Adam Sisson, unexpectedly passed away on May 31, 2019 in Logan, Utah at the age of 25.  He was born in March of 1994 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Mike and Susan Sisson. He resided in Bluffdale, Utah his entire life.

He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and an active member of the Independence YSA Ward. He attended Riverton High School and participated in the Music Dance Theater program. He was a loving father who relished every moment he spent with his daughter.

Ethan loved the theater, singing show tunes in the shower, performing in plays, and supporting a local drag show. He was blessed with a beautiful tenor singing voice. Whenever he was home, his family knew by the loud music that filled the house. He frequently sang karaoke and was very talented singing any genre of music. The arts were in his blood.

Ethan spent a lot of his life outdoors. He loved camping, boating and swimming, specifically doing the best cannonballs ever. Among his favorite places to be are anywhere spending time with his daughter, camping at Bear Lake, riding the ski lift to the top of the mountain at Sundance Resort, and belting out karaoke with his friends. Ethan, like the rest of his family, is a “live to eat” person. He was an amazing chef, always cooking for friends and family. Picking a favorite food would have been tough, but a recent favorite was pork belly corn dogs.

Ethan will be remembered for the impact he had on everyone that met him. With his large stature, he was intimidating; but within minutes of meeting him, he was an instant friend to all. He had the biggest heart, open to everyone no matter where you were in life. He did not judge and was always willing to help other people and reach out to others that may be struggling even though he had his own heavy load he carried. That is evidenced in the deep sorrow and pain in the hearts that everyone who knows him feels from his passing. Ultimately, he did not lose his battle with depression as the depression departed when he did, so technically it was a tie!

He is survived by his beloved young daughter Charlotte Anne; his parents, Michael and Susan (Roberts) Sisson; their children, Devan (Alyssa), Carly, Ryley, Logan, and Braxton; Grandparents Joseph and Phyllis Sisson and Dale and Carol Roberts; his nieces, Caylee, Brooklyn, and Wesley; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

He is preceded in death by a cherished family dog, Sophie, and way too many cats.

A celebration of his life will be held Friday, June 7 at 11 am at the Bluffdale 5th Ward, 15040 Mountainside Drive, where viewings will be held Thursday, June 6 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm and prior to the service from 9:00 to 10:30 am. Interment will take place at Bluffdale City Cemetery under the care of Aspen Funeral Home.
