Ernest John Groce

Ernest John Groce passed away on September 21, 2015 in SLC, UT. He was 66 years old.

Ernie was born on September 27, 1948 in SLC, UT to Ernest and Alice Groce. He married Connie King in 1968 and they raised a son and two daughters together for 42 years. He also proudly served his country in the Army. Ernie loved being a "papa" to his grandkids, racing his SHO on the Salt Flats and throwing his infamous front yard bbqs.

Ernie is survived by his son Jeff Groce (Krista Groce) of HB, CA; his daughter Lisa Mair. SLC, UT; & his daughter Brandi Alhamdani (Hassan Alhamdani), SLC, UT; and his precious grandkids (Ian, Eli & Ahmed). He is preceded in death by his spouse Connie Groce; his sister Shirley Scott; and mother Alice Evans.

Ernest will be buried in a graveside ceremony with military honors on September 25, 2015 at 2:00 pm at Elysian Burial Gardens (1075 E 4580 S). All are welcome to attend and celebrate his life.
