Ernest Jerry Anderson

Ernest Jerry Anderson passed away peacefully at his home in Midvale, Utah on March 26th, 2023. He was surrounded by his legacy of an amazing family that he created with the love of his life Sharlene Naylor Anderson, who were married on August 20th, 1954 for 68 years.

Jerry was born on a kitchen table in Myton, Utah to Cuba and Joseph Anderson on November 5th, 1933.

Dad was a proud union member of the IBEW at Kennecott Copper Mine at Bingham Canyon Open Pit Mine. After a nine-month strike in 1966, Dad went to barber school and worked both jobs until he retired from Kennecott in 1988 after 36 years.

Dad was a self-taught scratch golfer and never lost to his five grandsons. This was the joy of his life and he loved teasing them to no end about it. He was a proud member of Alpine Country Club and Palm Springs Country Club. Jerry and Sharlene lived in Midvale in the summer and were snowbirds in Palm Springs in the winter.
