Eric Mitchell Long

Eric lived his short 31 years to the fullest. He was a friend to all and left an impression in the lives of many. The son of C. Mitchell & Linda Long.

There are no words to describe the shock and pain of losing Eric or the irreplaceable gap he left in our lives along with countless others.

Eric was a friend to everyone. He could light up any room with his smile and never ceased to amaze us with his quick wit. To say he lived his short 31 years to the fullest would be an understatement. There was talent in every bone in his body. He strived to make everyone feel included, pushed us all to our fullest potential and most importantly, taught us to always "send it."

Eric was our protector. Our confidant. Our cheerleader. May his life be a lesson to STAY. He'd want it that way. To reach out when you need help, check in on your friends and to hug your loved ones just a little closer, as suicide is void from no one. ALWAYS LOVE HARD. Often times the happiest people on the outside are the ones fighting the biggest demons on the inside.

Eric you are greatly missed and loved by so many. Until we meet again.

Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon on Friday, February 1, 2019 at the River 7th Ward, 7380 South 1300 West, West Jordan, Utah. Visitations will be held in his honor at Goff Mortuary, 8090 S. State St., Midvale, Utah from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday evening and 1 hour prior to the service, at the church. Interment, West Jordan City Cemetery.
