Elvia Gonzalez was a warm and family-oriented individual who cherished spending quality time with her loved ones. She found great joy in the company of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, often showering them with affection through her culinary talents.

Cooking was one of her greatest passions, especially preparing traditional dishes like tamales and homemade tortillas, which were a hit with everyone who tasted them. Her love for family extended beyond the dinner table to memorable vacations in Texas, where she created cherished moments with those closest to her.

Elvia had a playful side and enjoyed trips to Wendover, where she found excitement in gambling and the fun of the casino atmosphere. Whether at home, on the road, or trying her luck at the slots, she embraced life with love, laughter, and a spirited sense of adventure.

Beyond that she loved shopping, always finding joy in picking out special things for herself and her loved ones. She also enjoyed unwinding with her favorite novelas, balancing her busy life with simple pleasures.

She is survived by Daughters, Elida Olivarez and Enedina Olivarez; Sisters, Bertha Botello and Aida Florez; Sister-in-law, Bea Gonzalez, 6 Grandchildren and 15 Great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Elias Gonzalez Cantu and Catarina Garcia Gonzalez, and her brothers, who now welcome her into eternal rest.

Her warmth, love and generosity created a lifetime of cherished moments. She will be dearly missed, but her legacy of kindness, strength, and devotion to family will live on in the hearts of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, March 27th from 10:00 to 10:45 AM followed by funeral services at 11:00 AM at Goff Mortuary, 8090 S. State Street, Midvale. Interment will take place at Sandy City Cemetery after services.
