In Loving Memory of Elaine Newton - Elaine passed away on July 9, 2021 at the age of 93. She was born May 28, 1928 to John and Susie Orgill. She married Ervin Newton on October 15, 1946 in Salt Lake City, UT. They lived in Mona together for 39 years until Ervin passed away June 1, 1985. They raised five children together.
Her biggest enjoyment was her family, especially the gatherings on Saturday afternoon where she cooked a meal for anyone who wanted to visit that day. She especially looked forward to the deer hunt every year so she could visit with her whole family. She had a beautiful home in Mona that she loved to decorate while others mistook it for the Quilted Bear. She loved taking care of her yard where you would never find a twig, leaf or weed.
She loved to collect magnets and there wasn't a spot on her fridge that didn't have one. You could always find her on the front porch with a Pepsi and Reese's Peanut Butter Cup visiting her neighbors.
She is survived by her children, Ernie (Jewel) Newton of Santaquin, Lesa (Skip) Westfall of Nephi, Clint Newton of Santaquin, Mike (Jackie) Newton of Goshen, son-in-law Ralph Lange of Nephi, 14 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and 5 great, great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Ervin, parents, John and Susie Orgill, daughter, Linda Lange, sister, Lavern Hansen, brother, Richard Orgill, daughter-in-law, Carolee Newton, two grandchildren, Ronda Lange and Lawrence Westfall, one great great grandchild, Colten Lloyd.
We would like to thank Gary and Eudene Anderson and all the staff at Red Cliffs Assisted Living, Dr. Jones and staff at Nephi Medical Clinic, all Dr.'s and staff at Central Valley Hospital and Central Valley Home Health, Anderson Funeral Home for all the special care, love and support they gave Elaine and her family, also to all the family and friends who visited her on a regular basis.
