South Jordan, Utah | St. George, Utah-Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend passed away peacefully on May 28, 2017. She was born on August 4, 1941 in Teasdale, Utah at the home of her grandfather, Ernest Jackson and grandmother, Ida Mae Jackson. Elaine graduated from Cyprus High School in 1959. She married Alfred John Nelson on March 11, 1960. They were sealed for time and all eternity on November 11, 1981.
Elaine worked for Hercules as a switchboard operator her entire career. When she retired, she moved to St. George, Utah to attend Dixie State College and to enjoy the red rock mountains of Southern Utah that reminded her of her childhood and the time she spent in Teasdale.
Survived by her three daughters, Lisa Annette (Vince) Groves, Lesle Dian (Jim) Brown, Lyndsie Shae (Cameron) Esplin; 13 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; siblings, Larry (Rosanne) Abraham, Diane Rushton, Michael (Sydney) Abraham, Allen (Shawnette) Abraham and Shannon (Clint) Weber. Preceded in death by her son, Alfred David and daughter, Lori Melinda; mother, Ila Jackson Abraham and father, Leonard Blaine Abraham; brother-in- law, Allan Rushton; sister-in-law, Britt Abraham and most recently her beloved husband, Alfred John Nelson, whom she couldn't live without.
We will honor mother with a graveside service at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 2, 2017 at the Bingham Cemetery, 7800 W. Old Bingham Hwy, followed by a memorial luncheon at 12 Noon at the Harvest Villa Clubhouse, 3260 West Fall Harvest Drive, South Jordan, Utah 84065.
