Eileen DeNeui Nelson, musical lover, community supporter and seamstress to beat the band, died peacefully on Thursday morning, October 30, 2014 at the age of 79. Eileen is remembered with love by her eldest son, David Lloyd Nelson, her youngest son, Jim Nelson, his wife, Traci Nelson, and the two lights of her life, her grandchildren, Xander and Rory Nelson. Eileen was proceeded in passing by her husband, Wayne James Nelson. Eileen was born in 1934 to her dear father Lloyd DeNeui and her mother Eva "Toni" DeNeui. When people speak of Eileen, they speak of service and they speak of passion. Eileen was always the first to volunteer to make costumes for the plays, help friends in need and support local theater and community productions. Eileen loved the theater and passed this love down to her two children. Eileen was loved by many and will always be remembered as Grandma, friend and mother. A graveside service will be held to honor Eileen's passing at the Sandy Cemetery at 9000 South 700 East, on Thursday, November 6, 2014, at noon. After the service, we invite everyone to come celebrate Eileen's life at one of her favorite places, "The Coachman" restaurant at 1300 South State Street.
