Edna Mae Jarvis Scott

Edna Mae Chellson Jarvis Scott passed away January 10th, 2017 in Salt Lake City with her family at her bedside after a lingering illness.

Born July 22, 1926 in Goshen, Utah to Earl Fred Chellson and Annie Matilda Hill. She was a member of the L.D.S. Church, and worked in nutrition services at Jordan School District for 24 years. Family meant everything to her, she was an avid supporter to her family. Her house was always the gathering place for special gatherings. She was the heart of our family and we will always love and appreciate her. She was a very independent woman, she truly loved her family and was our Rock. She had a smile that would just melt your heart!

Survived by her loving children, Dennis (Sherrie) Jarvis, Brenda Beckstead, Sherrie Dowdle, 14 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-great grandchild. Preceded in death by daughters Katherine and Sylvia, sisters Dorothy, Coral, and Opal, and brothers Clarence and Vernal. Preceded in death by husbands Vance Jarvis and Barney Scott.

Viewing will be held January 13th, 2017 from 11:00 am-1:00 pm at Goff Mortuary, 8090 S. State St., Midvale, Utah. Graveside services will follow at 1:30 pm at Redwood Memorial Estates, 6500 South Redwood Road.
