Dwayne Vawdrey

Dwayne Lovell Vawdrey was born in Murray, Utah on October 22, 1928 to Lydia Lovell and Curtis Vawdrey. He passed away on August 13, 2015 of natural causes. Married Verlene Allen on August 19, 1949 in Draper, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple.

Survived by wife Verlene; children, Brenda Crowther (Bob), Alane Beck (Doug), Douglas Vawdrey (Marsha), Glen Vawdrey (Laurie), Paul Vawdrey (Lynette), Scott Vawdrey (Lisa), Gary Vawdrey, Mark Vawdrey (Carolyn); 46 grandchildren, and 78 great-grandchildren; sisters, Geraldine, Kathleen, and Ramona, and brothers, Howard and Brent. Preceded in death by parents; brother, Max; and sister, Carmen.

He worked in the reinforcing steel fabrication industry. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and served in many callings.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 18, at 11 a.m. in the Corner Canyon 1st Ward, 13006 So. Boulter St., Draper, where there will be viewings Monday 6:30-8:30 p.m. and Tuesday 9:30-10:30 a.m. Interment, Draper City Cemetery.
