Doug Steadman was a caring father, brother, uncle and friend. Doug left our world on May 31, 2024, at the age of 58.
He was born to Franklin Dale and Evelyn Irene Steadman on January 17, 1966 in Salt Lake City, UT.
Doug’s pride and joy was his daughter, Samantha. He was known as the “Silver Fox” with his long, silver hair and his rock-star appearance. His passion was building hot rods, riding dirt bikes, NASCAR, NHRA, car shows, gathering with friends and family, and attending rock concerts.
Doug was a kind, gentle soul who loved his family and friends fiercely and was extremely loyal to everyone within his circle. He took care of everyone, always and was always the “guy who knew a guy” for anything anyone needed.
Doug is survived by his beautiful daughter Samantha, sister Corie, nieces, Chantel Mortensen (Lucas) and Whitney DeRego (Gee), adopted nephew-in-law, Buddy, 5 adopted children, Branda, Keith, Bruce (Alicia) Triston (Kaileen) and Aubrey, great nieces and nephews, James, Cayli (Kasey), Zayden, Reese, Madison, McKenzie and Kaeden, countless adopted grandbabies, nieces and nephews and so many friends that he considered family. He will be greatly missed by anyone who has had the pleasure of knowing him.
Doug is preceded in death by his mother, Irene, father, Dale and brother, Gary.
To commemorate his incredible journey and to celebrate the love he spread, a memorial service will be held in his honor at West Jordan City Cemetery, 7925 South 1300 West on Friday, June 14, 2024 at 1:30 PM and an open mic will be provided for anyone that would like to say a few words.
The celebration of life will be held on Sunday, June 23, 2024. Details to follow. We invite all who knew him to join us in remembering a truly remarkable man.
We would like to thank family and friends for their search efforts and everyone who has shown such kindness.
