Douglas K Silcox, 50, passed away peacefully on October 5, 2017 at Utah Valley Hospital in Provo, UT. He was born on Sept. 27, 1967 in Murray, Utah to Melvin and Marsha Silcox.
Doug loved movies, especially old westerns. He loved fishing and accumulating fishing gear. He had the mind of a walking data base and remembered inconsequential family facts. He was the keeper of the family records and genealogy for which he had a passion. He had a keen sense of direction and could find his way around no matter which state. Doug always wanted to change his name to Kirk Douglas. He was a gentle soul with a tender heart and will be missed by his family.
Survived by his brother Donald L. Silcox, Washington, sisters Jeannie Finnegan, Salt Lake City, UT and Shelly (Gary) Tropp, Niles, MI. Preceded in death by his parents Melvin and Marsha Silcox, brother Mark Silcox, and nephews Michael and Arlin Finnegan, and Cody J Sisk.
