Our dearly loved mother and grandmother, Dorothy Ann Willden, passed away June 6, 2019 in Holladay, Utah.
She was born August 4, 1930 in Newbury, Vermont, the daughter of Herbert William and Clara Baumann Randall. Dorothy married Lewis LaVal Willden in Ranton, New Mexico on May 31, 1952.
Dorothy grew up in Newbury, Vermont until the age of thirteen, when she lost both of her parents. At which time she moved to Boston and lived with her mother's sister Bertha. Dorothy loved the ocean and vacationing in Cape Cod. After meeting her husband, she moved to Colorado. Dorothy had eleven children. She dedicated her life to raising her children. Throughout her life, she always had a pet dog at her side, she loved all of them dearly.
Survivors, Children: Valarie Ann Willden, LaVal Conrad Willden (Pam), Bonnie Lee Lewis (Bill), Jarrid Elliott Willden (Julie), Beverly Kay Freeman (Karl), Timothy Shawn Willden (Brett), 26 grandchildren, 41 great grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren. Preceded in death by Husband: Lewis LaVal Willden, children: Linda Sue Goff, LaVaughna Jean Welch, Lewis Edward Willden, Gregory Scott Willden, David Cordel Willden, brother: Albert William Randall, sister: Clara Elizabeth Randall / Baker.
Dorothy desired to be cremated. Graveside funeral services honoring her life will be held Wednesday, June 12, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at the Cedar Grove Cemetery in Mancos, Colorado.
The family wishes to thank the Caregivers at Highland Care Center and IHC Hospice for their loving care and attention to Dorothy.
