Dorothy Claire Bullock Marshall Jones Lynn (Dottie), beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother peacefully stepped through the veil at the age of 86 on August 27, 2019 at 8:35 a.m. while sleeping at the Victorian House Assisted Living Center in Levan, Utah were she was living since the beginning of the year.

Dottie was born to Isaac Owen Bullock and Elsie Claire Mills on March 24, 1933 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Dottie graduated from West High School in Salt Lake City, UT in June 1951 with an A- average. While in West High Dottie was a member of the R.O.T.C. Band and achieved the rank of Second Lieutenant. She worked on the early IBM keypunching machines and started her own business from her home using these machines. She also worked as an accountant for Sure Appliance.

Dottie was married three times; Joseph Clyde Marshall in the Salt Lake Temple on September 24, 1954, until their divorce, Grinnell Jones, Jr. on July 24, 1974 in Mountain View, WY until his death in February 1999, John Calvin Lynn Sr. on November 27, 1999 in Denver, CO until his death in July 2003 of the West Nile Virus.

Dottie is survived by six children: Helen (K) Small, Carol (Scott) Nelson, Owen (divorced Sherry Jensen) Marshall, Kathy (Sean) MacGregor, Karl (Iara) Marshall, Ilene McClellan. She is also survived by five step-children: Grinnell Jones III, Etna Lane, John Calvin Lynn Jr, Mary Ellen Lynn, Frank Lynn Sr. She is also survived by sixteen grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren.

Dottie was a fierce friend to everyone she met. She had a knack for making friends and keeping them for life. Dottie had a passion for Indians. She loved visiting archeological sites of the Native Americans. She loved the outdoors and the time she lived on her ranch. She loved all animals; she was always surrounded by them. She loved to travel. She has been to Mexico five times. There were many summers that she would load up the entire family in her car and just drive to wherever the roads led her. She was an avid collector of many things: stamps, coins, dolls, plates, antiques, etc. She had an outstanding memory and could recall memories from her life with complete detail. For several years she has been compiling her life story which now is hundreds of pages.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, September 5, 2019 at Goff Mortuary, 8090 South State Street, Midvale, UT at 12:00 p.m., followed by a short service at 1:00 p.m. Interment, Salt Lake City Cemetery, 200 N Street; Salt Lake City, UT.

The family wishes to give special thanks to Dr. Grant Rasmussen and the staff at Central Valley Medical Center in Nephi, UT. Heartfelt thanks for caring for Dottie to Amberlee Worwood and the staff of the Victorian House Assisted Living in Levan, UT.
