Dorothy Weston Bradford passed away in her home on December 23, 2016 from cardiac arrest. She was born February 1, 1928 to Grover Cleveland and Sophia Margaret Christensen Weston in Manassa, Colorado, where she was raised with 4 sisters and 3 brothers. She attended schools in Manassa and was valedictorian of her high school graduating class. She received and accepted a scholarship to the University of Colorado in Boulder. While there, she was involved in directing choirs and was an accompanist for several students. Dorothy met Bobby Blain Bradford while they were both students. They were married July 15, 1949 in the Manti LDS Temple. Dorothy was a talented musician and graduated with a Bachelor's degree in music. Blain and Dorothy lived in many places where Dorothy's generosity in sharing her musical talent influenced the lives of countless people. She directed many choirs, taught piano and organ, accompanied singers and groups, directed plays, and was frequently requested to be the organist for many events and services. Dorothy was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and held many positions as she gave her life to service. She was gifted in her interaction with others and was always looking for ways to help, such as a note to congratulate or uplift, or a listening ear to console. All who came in contact with Dorothy were better because of it.
Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband, B. Blain Bradford, her son, Scott W. Bradford, her parents, two brothers and three sisters. She is survived by children, Margaret, LuAnn (Robin), Blain (Barb) and Barlow; daughter-in-law, Gayle; nineteen grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren; brother (Jim) and sister (Mavis).
