Doran Palmer, aged 82, passed away March 2, 2021 at home in Fountain Green, Utah.
He was born on September 9, 1938 in Nephi, Utah to Elizabeth Warner and Vern Palmer.
Doran married Dixie DeTevis on June 25, 1988 in Martin's Mill, Texas.
Previously married to Earlene Earls.
Doran was in the Air Force as a photographer and heavy equipment operator. Working as an independent contractor for flooring kept him busy for many years. He was an avid animal lover, except cats, and loved to hunt. Animals always played a huge part in his life. Reading was always his passion and kept him busy after retirement. Donating to the Wounded Worrier Project, Special Olympics, and other charities were important to Doran. Hugs were Doran's specialty.
Survived by wife, Dixie. Sisters, Leota, Amy (Duane, Daughters; Kim (Dallas), Marie, Lisa (Mark), Merrilee (Roy). Sons; Darrell (Vicki), Levan (DeDe), Cameron (Debbie). Doran was loved by many grandkids, great grandkids, nieces, and nephews.
Preceded in death by his parents, stepfather Lynn Mitchell, sister Verna, and infant daughter Julie Rae. A graveside service will be held Monday, March 8, 2021 at 11:00 am at Vine Bluff Cemetery, With viewing 1 hour prior at Anderson Funeral Home (94 West 300 North, Nephi, Utah). Funeral services by Anderson Funeral Home.
