Donna Mcfarlane

Born in Tererro, New Mexico on April 16, 1928 to Steven Eli Basta and Molly Anna Delost. After living in various locations in the west her family settled in Sandy, Utah. Donna married Louie Chesnik in 1947. They had two sons, Robert and Ronald. Louie died on February 14, 1961 in a mine accident in Somerset, Colorado. Donna moved back to Utah to be close to her family and raise her sons in Midvale, Utah. She married Eugene McFarlane on April 21, 1981. He died on January 10, 1986.

Donna loved working with her hands and enjoyed sewing, crocheting, knitting and embroidery. She had a great love for her family, especially the grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father Steven, mother Molly Anna, son Ronald, brothers Steve, Bob, Luke and Donald Basta. She is survived by her son Robert (Linda), daughters-in-law Susan Tucket (Ronald) and Bonnie Chesnik (Ronald), 8 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.

Honoring Donna's wishes, there will be a short graveside service at the Sandy City Cemetery, 9000 South 700 East, at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 21st.
