Our sweet wife, mother, and grandmother, Donna Jean Newton Anderson, 67, unexpectedly passed away on November 20, 2017 at her home in Draper, Utah.
Donna was born September 4, 1950 to C. Lee Newton and Beverly (White) Newton in Nephi, Utah. As a young child Donna lived in Mona, Tremonton, and later Salt Lake City. She graduated from Hillcrest High School and enjoyed cheerleading and socializing. Donna attended and graduated from Utah State University. While attending school she met and fell in love with her sweetheart, Mike Anderson. They were married April 20, 1973 in the Salt Lake Temple and have been happily married for 44 years. Their love is an example of true friendship as they've raised their three boys together.
Donna was an active member of the LDS Church and served faithfully in many callings during her life. She was a friendly neighbor, great friend, and enjoyed serving others.
Donna's greatest calling in life was that of motherhood. She cherished the opportunity to raise her three boys and dedicated her life to her sons, daughters-in-law, and grandkids. Anyone that knew Donna could see the deep and sincere love she had for her husband, children, and grandchildren. She enjoyed family dinners, parties, and holidays celebrated as a family. She was most happy when the family was all gathered in her home.
Donna is survived by her husband, Mike; children, Stephen (Lindsay), Scott (Paigely), Chad (Jessica); nine (soon to be ten) grandkids; and brothers, Larry (Nancy) Newton, Brad (Lani) Newton. She is preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Brent and Kevin (infant).
In lieu of flowers, please spend time with your family, take them out to dinner, or just be together.
