Donald Strong Hart

Don, our loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and great friend, passed away November 11, 2016 after a long battle with cancer. Donald Strong Hart and Shirley Ann Luby were married February 9, 1962, the marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple.

He is preceded in death by a daughter, Brenda Luby Hart, his parents, Glen Napier Hart and Ethel Strong Hart and an infant sister. Don is survived by his wife, Shirley, daughters, Pam Smith (Joel) of Herriman, Cindy Philippe (Luis) of Midvale, son, Matthew Hart of Midvale, nine grandchildren and one great granddaughter.

Don was an active member in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He loved the gospel and strived to live it every day of his life. His kind spirit was a friend to everyone. Don was incredibly generous and always willing to lend a helping hand. Don enjoyed driving up to the mountains for fishing, hunting and camping with his son Matt and grandson Nick.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at 12:00 Noon at the Midvale 8th Ward, 8350 Jackson Street, Midvale, Utah, where there will be a viewing from 10:00 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. Interment, Midvale City Cemetery.
