Donald Lee Harrison, age 88, passed away January 17, 2023. Husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. Born on January 8, 1935, to James Lee and Thelma Terry in Fort Collins, CO.
He joined the Air Force in 1953 and served for 4 years as an ammunition's specialist. While stationed in Albuquerque, New Mexico he met the love of his life, Mary Anne Moore. They were married for 65 years.
He was employed at AT&T Long Lines for 38 years as a communications tech. He retired in May 1995. His favorite teams were the Chicago Bears, New York Rangers and Chicago White Sox.
He coached and umpired little league baseball for many years. He enjoyed camping, fishing, boating, and ballooning with family and grandkids. His favorite vacation spots were Las Vegas and Lake Tahoe, Nev. One of his favorite memories while in Hawaii was taking his first helicopter ride with his son. He was an avid Ham radio fan (N5ALB) and enjoyed doing a weekly broadcast until he was no longer able to do it.
He is survived by his wife Mary Anne, daughter Terri Patrick (Ed), sons Donald E. and James W. Harrison (Tigna), and 9 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren and a large extended family.
He was preceded by death of son, Richard E. Harrison.
