Donald Lockwood Dalrymple Jr. passed away peacefully at home on July 1, 2015 due to complications related to pneumonia. In his last moments, Don was surrounded by his children and grandchildren whom he dearly loved.
Don was born on July 7, 1943 in Port Clinton, Ohio, to Donald Lockwood Dalrymple Sr. and Zenda Harrison. Following World War II, his family moved to Seattle Washington, where Don grew up. As a young boy, he developed a passion for horses, fast cars and flight. Don received his pilot's license and his driver's license in the same year. He graduated from Evergreen High school and went on to serve a mission to West Germany for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Don received a Bachelors Degree and an MBA from Brigham Young University. While a student, he served as the President of the Young Men's club.
Don married Sandra Christopherson in the Salt Lake City Temple, August 23, 1967, although they later divorced. Don is survived by his mother, Zenda, his brothers James and John, and his children, Brett, Sean, Holly, Julie and Amanda, along with twenty grandchildren. Don adored his grandchildren and as he passed beyond the veil, his grandchildren sang primary songs to comfort him.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at the Richmond City Cemetery, in Richmond, Utah.
