Born March 11, 1928 to Arthur E. and Clara Phipps in Bingham, Utah. Married Martin (Bill) Pezel June 7, 1951.
Survived by son Danny (Betsy Dewhurst), daughter Tina (Robert) Carpenter, 3 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by husband Bill, grandson Robby, and 4 siblings.
Dolores was the youngest of 5 children, born in Bingham. They moved to Missouri for a few years, but landed back home in Bingham, UT, where Arthur worked security at Kennecott, and opened the gift shop where Dolores had her first job.
Bill and Dolores made their home in Midvale, UT for 60 plus years, where she helped run their service station (on the s/w corner of State and Center St.).
In her early years Dolores was a seasoned bowler, a proud member of the F.O.E., an excellent homemaker, gardener, and a very caring mother and grandmother. (We couldn't have raised her grandkids without her!)
Dolores was a very private, almost reclusive person in the years after Bill's death, and took his passing so hard she feared she distanced herself from family other than Tina and Danny, and regretted not staying closer to her sisters and brother Matt, Mary, Lulu, Eva, Rosie and Elma. Knowing that bunch, they're all working it out now!
In keeping with her desire for privacy, we wish to invite everyone to her viewing, but will have an intimate family interment.
Viewing to be held Wednesday, May 30 from 6-8 pm at Goff Mortuary, 8090 S. State St., Midvale, followed by a private ceremony/interment at Midvale City Cemetery.
