Dixie Pace Shaw (81), beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister passed away peacefully on August 20, 2020, surrounded by her family. Dixie was born on November 26, 1938 in Hoytsville, Utah to Alvin and May Pace. She grew up in Hoytsville and graduated from North Summit High School. She married her high school sweetheart Glenn Shaw on Friday, the 13th of September, 1957 for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake Temple. Together they celebrated 62 years of marriage. They made their home in Hoytsville where they raised four daughters.

In 1980 Dixie started working as a Licensed Independent Insurance agent in Coalville. In 1993 she became a co-owner with the Leavitt Insurance Group. Dixie loved working in her office and visiting will all her customers and they loved her. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and enjoyed serving in many positions throughout the years.

Spending time with her family is what she loved most. You could always find her at recitals, concerts, ballgames, and birthday parties. Dixie also loved spending time in her yard and had a special touch for growing beautiful flowers. She also found great joy in shopping with her daughters, getting her hair done, and dressing up!

Dixie was preceded in death by her parents and sister Shirlene. She is survived by her husband, Glenn and four daughters, Linda (Kelly), Debra (Tracy), Leslie, and Stacie (Kyle), 14 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, sisters Vionne, and Marie (Scott) and brother Mont (Bonnie Kay).

Due to Covid 19 restrictions, a private service will be held on August 25, 2020. Interment will be in the Coalville Cemetery.
