Dianne Bessie Wilson was born November 29, 1948 at the Methodist Hospital in Sioux City, Iowa to Dr. Fredric W. Wilson, Jr. and Jeanette Schilling Wilson. She passed away in her home on October 10, 2017 in Salt Lake City, Utah. At an early age, Dianne was always interested in books and reading. She belonged to the Girl Scouts played piano and violin, took ballet and tap dance as well as swimming at the YWCA in Sioux City. She attended the Methodist Church in Sioux City, Iowa. She enjoyed traveling and the summers on the family ranch outside of Stuart, Nebraska. She attended Bryant Elementary, North Jr. High and graduated with honors from Sioux City�s Central High School in 1967. With an interest in foreign languages, Dianne and her mother traveled to Spain in the summer of 1968. She attended Grinnell College in Grinnell, Iowa graduating in 1971 with a Political Science Degree. In July, 1970 she married Patrick Perry of Chicago, Illinois. That marriage ended in divorce. During her lifetime she lived in Sioux City, Iowa, Chicago, Illinois, Kalispell, Montana, Cambridge, Massachusetts, Bozeman, Montana and for the past 30 plus years in the Salt Lake City, Utah area. She worked various jobs including banking, Kelly Girls, and finally for the Salt Lake City Post Office. She enjoyed traveling, genealogy and a variety of other hobbies Recently she enjoyed her time gardening, connecting with the Daughters of the American Revolution and time spent on the ancestry websites. She was a humble, lifelong learner taking various classes at Harvard and at the University of Utah. She also researched many areas of interest. Dianne was gifted, self driven, analytical, and a methodically minded spirit. She fought several attacks and physical limitations but these challenges did not power over her. Most recently, cancer brought her spirit to rest. Dianne is survived by sisters, Linda (Peter) Torgerson, Clarkston, WA and Carol Savage, Kalispell, MT. an aunt who resides in Eugene, Oregon and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceeded in death by her parents and her brother Robert. Burial will be in the family plot in Stuart, Nebraska at a later date.
