Dianne passed away peacefully from this life surrounded by family in her home on November 10th, 2021. She was 81 years old at the time of her death.

Dianne was born on April 26th, 1940, to James Swan and Florence Madill Swan in Stockton, California. Dianne grew up in Magna, Utah where she graduated from Cyprus High School. Dianne was 19 years old when she met Gerald (Jerry) Hansen.

Jerry and Dianne were married for 61 years and were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple. They had six children together with one daughter being stillborn They raised their five children in West Jordan where she lived out her life until she died.

Dianne was a loving wife and mother that always put her family first and was kind to everyone. She taught her children to treat everyone with dignity, respect and to look for and serve others in need.

Dianne served many callings in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served as a compassionate service leader, librarian, scout leader, and worked in the primary. Jerry and Dianne also served in the Jordan River Temple for several years until their health would not allow them to serve. She was the great-granddaughter of the founder of Henefer, Utah and that led her to become a member of The Daughters of Utah Pioneers.

Dianne was a lead food service employee for the Jordan School District for 25 years. She was a hard worker and a great cook and taught her children to also work hard.

Jerry and Dianne were snowbirds they liked to travel to Quartzsite and Lake Havasu, Arizona in the winter. They would love to go dry camping in Arizona with their family and friends. They would find a camping spot with a hookup for their fifth wheel to spend the rest of the winter.

Dianne was the second to the oldest of seven children with three boys and four girls and was the last of her siblings to die. She was very close to her sisters and has missed them dearly.

We will miss our beloved, beautiful, sweet wife, mother, and grandmother who brought love and joy into our lives. We know her earthy body is no longer sick or in pain, but in a better place, and we will see her again.

Dianne was survived by her husband Gerald Hansen and children Holly and (Shane) Smith, Penny Rawlins, Jerry and (Becky) Hansen, David Hansen, and Christopher Hansen. Also, by her 10 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren, and two new great-grandchildren on the way.

Preceded in death by still-born daughter Sandra Hansen, parents James and Florence Swan, siblings Clark Madill, Jimmy Swan, Thomas Swan, Joyce Rentmeister, Sylvia Hughes, and Sharron Christensen.

The viewing will be held on November 19th, 2021, in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints church building from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. The funeral will start at 11:00 a.m., address 7150 S. Callie Dr. (1520 W.) in West Jordan, Utah.

The burial will be at Valley View Cemetery at 4335 W. 4100 S. in West Valley, Utah.
