Diana Dee Briggs

Our beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Sister, Aunt and Friend returned home on November 1, 2023 to the arms of many loved ones who were waiting for her.

She was born August 16, 1932 in Mackay, Idaho to Walter Savaria and Francis Alta Fitzgerald. She had a happy childhood that was rich in love and family and friends that continued throughout her life. She also enjoyed many friendships made during her 20 years working at the Church Vaults. She retired August 15, 1997 and then served two missions for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Her positive cheerful personality blessed our lives. Our Mom treasured her time at home where she loved to cook, bake and serve her family. Everyone felt welcomed and loved when they came to our home.

She married Robert David Briggs on May 24th, 1949 in Carey, Idaho and were blessed with 4 children, Bob Briggs, Greg Briggs, Debbie Van De Veere and Ann Sweeney.

She had a strong love for our Savior Jesus Christ and had a testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. She fulfilled her calling as Relief Society President twice, Primary teacher and Primary President.

Diana is survived by her brother Jim Savaria, 4 children, 15 grandchildren and 40 great grandchildren, and many nephews and nieces.

A Celebration of Life Service will take place Saturday, November 11 from 11:30 am to 3:00 pm at Anderson & Goff Mortuary, 11859 South 700 East, Draper, Utah 84020.
