DeRoyce Newbold passed away on March 18, 2025 and was reunited with his sweetheart LaDee. He was born on July 21, 1932 in South Jordan, Utah to Daniel M. and Ruth Jensen Newbold. He married LaDee Norris on May 12, 1960 in the Salt Lake Temple.

DeRoyce graduated from Jordan High School. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. After graduating from the University of Utah, he began his career as an accountant with the Bureau of Reclamation. He retired with over 37 years of U.S. Government service.

DeRoyce was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served in many callings including Ward Clerk under seven Bishops and as the Stake Physical Facilities Clerk. He also served in the Jordan River Temple.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, artwork, and was able to fix anything. He never spoke ill of anyone. He was a quiet, humble and trustworthy man.

He is survived by his children Ken (Tammy), Larry (Marcia) and DeAnn Sproul (Steven), 11 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents, wife LaDee, and brothers LaMar, Shirley, and Gerald.

A viewing will be held on Monday, March 24, 2025 from 10:30 to 12:00 PM at Goff Mortuary, 8090 S. State St., Midvale. Followed by a graveside service at South Jordan City Cemetery.
