Dennis Mark Strong

Dennis Strong was a great guy. He is my older brother. He loved Utah's west desert. Dennis and I and friends. He had six different dogs that he loved dearly. We spent days in the desert camping, mountain biking, star gazing, and we always brought our dogs with us.

Dennis had a great work ethic. He was a skilled steel mechanic until the industry went bankrupt. Dennis then worked with my father and I to maintain and install hvac for an eleven story building we were bidding for. Dennis's personality cemented him in place at the new building. He worked there for years and when he lost his left foot to diabetes, they kept him on insurance while he went though rehab, but didn't retain him. I recommended him for a job and he got it. From there he went to the Huntsman Cancer Institute and worked maintenance.

When I was about seven Dennis was in high school. One day he brought home an electronic stereo amplifier. It had two tubes and he built it. I had a regular record player and before I knew it we were rewiring the record player and installing a new stereo needle! Another speaker (for stereo) - I was hooked for life. To this day my five channel surround sound home theater has a turn table. He introduced me to a lot of things and gave me my love of learning.

Dennis was born in Twin Falls, Idaho on December 3, 1949 to Mark and Mary Strong. His siblings are: Marilyn Scurlock, Stalboerger (deceased), Ellen and Jerry Runyan, and Bill and Katy Strong.

After graduation from high school Dennis served in the United States Army and was stationed in Germany during his time of service.

Dennis will be buried at the Utah State Veterans Memorial Park on Thursday, January 14th at 1 pm.
