Dennis Keith Siiter, 72, passed away December 27, 2015, after a valiant fight with cancer. Dennis was born on July 20, 1943 in Duluth, Minnesota; to Audrey and Thorsti Siiter of Cloquet, Minnesota. He graduated in 1961 from Denfeld High School in Duluth, Minnesota. Dennis also received an Accounting Degree from the University of Utah. Dennis served his country in the military for six years in the Army and Air Force reserves. Dennis married Sandra Norlen on July 9, 1966. A few years later they relocated to Utah, where Dennis worked as a Senior Quality Engineer for Litton Industries, now known as Northrup Grumman. Dennis and Sandra enjoyed 49 years of wonderful marriage, and 15 quality years of retirement together and raised one daughter, Annette. Dennis enjoyed spending the winter months during his retirement with his wife in Green Valley, Arizona. He played an active role in the Canoa Hills Condo Association and developed many long lasting friendships in the community. During the summer, he liked to return to his hometown of Duluth, Minnesota to visit family and friends. Dennis was always willing and able to help family, friends, and the elderly with yard and home improvement projects. Dennis had a passion for cars, airplanes, or anything with an engine. He spent countless hours cleaning, fixing, and enjoying his vehicles. Dennis was a private pilot and owned his own airplane for many years. Dennis had a love for animals especially dogs. After being diagnosed with stomach cancer in 2014, he remained dedicated to his will to live. He was a brave, tough, iron-willed man, even during the final months of his life, never giving up hope! His greatest love and joy was spending time with his family and close friends. Dennis is survived by his wife, Sandra and one daughter Annette (Chris) Stavros, of Cottonwood Heights, Utah.
No services will be held at this time. A celebration of life will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Dennis Siiter's name at an animal shelter of your choosing or to the Huntsman Cancer Hospital.
