Deloy Osborne

DeLoy Lanny Osborne passed away peacefully on March 10, 2018. DeLoy was born December 3, 1937, in Murray, Utah to Roland and Dorothy Osborne. DeLoy was the oldest of 5 children. He was raised on the family farm in Crescent, Utah. From the time he was a small boy, he loved to work on the farm with his dad. In high school he met the love of his life, Marie Lucile Grimaud. They fell in love and married on March 29, 1958. They were later sealed for time and eternity in the Salt Lake Temple on August 19, 1978. They were married for 60 years. They were the proud parents of 5 children.

For many years he supported his family working at A&L Concrete and for Ron Osborne Trucking. DeLoy loved spending his time being outdoors; from being strapped to the draft horses while his father worked the fields or handling the cows on the dairy and taking care of all the other farm chores. He loved to ride horses, go fishing and hunting with the family. Being in Fairview was always a great get away for him and the family. He loved his pulling horses and enjoyed being with his son's driving the team. Later in life he was privileged to serve a mission in Nauvoo with Mom. They found great joy serving together. While on his mission, many family members were able watch him perform in plays and work the draft horses and oxen teams. He and mom came home and were able to serve in the temple for years together. Over the years their love grew from its simple beginnings to a very deep love for each other and their family.

DeLoy is preceded in death by his parents, Roland and Dorothy and one infant sister, SueAnn. He is survived by his loving wife, Marie; 5 children, Mark (Julie), Steve (Jodi), Scott (Leanne), Wendie Littlewood (Gregory), Annie Heap (Troy); 28 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren (known as Grandpa Rawr); siblings, Ron (Barbara), Randy (Vicky) and Pam Bowlden (Val).

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at the River View 1st Ward, 288 W. River Chapel Road (11700 S.), Draper, Utah.
