Delores "Joy" Steadman Hedin, the final daughter out of the 9 "Steadman Girls" passed away peacefully November 17, 2021.

She was the 8th daughter born March 11, 1927 to Charles Edwin and Edith Price Steadman in her home in West Jordan, Utah.

Joy was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had a deep and abiding love for her Heavenly Father and prayed always that each one in her family will have that same conviction. She served all her life in one organization or the other, but Relief Society was her favorite. She was the Compassionate Service leader for years and loved all the sisters in her ward. She loved to visit with them and help them in any way she could.

She was always involved in school activities. She loved school and all the activities involved and her many friends.

She married Roy W. Hedin in the Logan LDS Temple July 18, 1949. Roy passed away May 23, 2009. They have three children Craig (Kathie) Hedin, Barbara (Roger) Minor, Grant Hedin (Deborah) deceased, nine grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. She has many nieces and nephews whom she loves like her own kids.

Her parents plus eight sisters have preceded her in death: Emma (Harold Burgon), Ivy (Gerald Andrus), Lucile (Lavon Whitney), Velma (Stanley Hutchings), LaMae (Aaron Jenkins), Leila (Leslie Mackay), Twila and Marjorie Steadman.

Funeral services will be held Monday, November 22 at 11:00 A.M. at the River Ridge 8th Ward, 1409 W. Shields Lane, South Jordan, Utah 84095. Family and friends may call the night before at the Ward House between 6-8 P.M. and one hour before services the next day between 9:45 and 10:45 A.M. Interment will be at Lake Hills Cemetery, 10100 South State, Sandy, Utah.
