Deeann Searle

DeeAnn Winn Searle, age 75, loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend passed away April 19, 2018 in Nephi, Utah.

She was born April 3, 1943 in Utah County to Devon Charles and Mildred LaVeryl Kelsey Winn. She married Glen Courtland Searle January 21, 1984.

During her younger years, she lived in Nephi and spent hours working and playing on the family farm. She loved to ride horses and was proud to have been the Queen of the 1960 Ute Stampede. Always one for a sense of adventure, DeeAnn roamed and lived in a number of cities and towns, but her heart was always in Juab County, and it was there she spent her last days.

DeeAnn was always concerned with the wellbeing of others. You never knew when she was going to show up with a finely crocheted doily, a set of hand embroidered dish towels, or a plate of fresh rolls asking, "What can I do for you." She was appreciative of the kind of deeds others did for one another. She selflessly gave years of service as a CNA dedicated to sharing love and providing healthcare for the elderly and persons with disabilities. She frequently reminisced with fond memories of caring for the children with disabilities at Topham's Tiny Tots Care Facility.

During her retirement, she was happy to spend time enjoying her hobbies of crochet, fine embroidery, reading stacks of novels, and doing Swedish weave projects for friends and family. DeeAnn loved to be outdoors fishing and camping. Family was everything. Grandpa Glen, three children, two stepchildren, 17 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren were privileged to share may happy memories.

DeeAnn is survived by her loving husband of many years, Glen Searle. She is also survived by her children Lillis Poll, LaVeryl Schumann (Michael), Jesse Poll (Lea); stepchildren Brent Searle (Dena) and Janalee Banks (Steven). She was preceded in death her by stepson Kerry Searle and her beloved parents DeVon and LaVeryl Winn.

Graveside services will be held at 1 pm Saturday, April 21, 2018 at the Nephi Vine Bluff Cemetery. A gathering will be held Friday evening from 6-8 pm at the Anderson Funeral Home, 94 W 300 N, Nephi, UT.
