Our loving husband, father, brother and grandfather, David Levin, passed away on Tuesday, January 2, 2018, due to his battle with cancer. He fought hard and gave 110%. He was born on April 28th, 1947, in Donetsk, Ukraine, to Lev Finegersh and Sofia Krivonos. He was the oldest child. His parents passed away when he was young. He has worked as a coalminer for 21 years and then he was running a small business for several years. Trying to survive during Soviet Union years was hard. David and his family faced with the opportunity to go to America in search of his American Dream.
He immigrated as a refugee to Salt Lake City, Utah, in 1996 and has had multiple jobs before he retired. He enjoyed traveling back to his motherland to visit his friends and family at least once a year. He loved listening to music, collecting watches and following new development in high tech industry. He enjoyed animals and they loved him back. David was a child at heart and especially loved talking to his grandchildren and relatives.
He is survived by his wife Marina, son Leonid, two grandchildren, brother Arkadiy and many extended family and close friends.
The family would like to thank David's oncologist doctor Dr. Howard Colman MD, the staff at the Woodland Park Care Center.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 4, 2018, 1:30 pm, at B'Nai Israel Cemetery.
