David Wayne Hamilton

Our loving Husband, Father, “daddio” , Grandpa , and Friend returned to his heavenly fathers arms on July 16, 2024 in Salt Lake City. 

David loved the outdoors, collecting things and making model cars in his spare time. He was always working on some sort of project, working on cars, building something with wood, fixing or repairing something. 

He loved his old country music and would often shake the windows when home alone. David was a member of the LDS church and after he suffered a stroke in 2023 he decided that it was time to get things in order and take his loving wife (Lora) to the temple after 40 years of marriage and get sealed together for all eternity. 

He was preceded in death by both of his parents. Mother (Jeannie Deone Atwood) Father (Curtis milton Hamilton Sr.) and his three sons (Johnathon Dean, Shandon Wayne, Kenny Lee).

He is survived by his wife (Lora Hamilton) his daughters (Lora Ann Knudsen and Jeannie Hamilton) also his four grandchildren (Brailee Ann Knudsen , Atlee Ann Knudsen, Elizabeth (Lizzy) Jade Knudsen, and his best buddy Simon J Zamora). 

We will miss him dearly, we cherish his memory. Especially many of the final memories we shared with him and wished that we could have just one more call, a walk down the hall together, or a relaxing moment soaking up the sun. 

Our family would like to share a special thanks to all who cared for David whether it was for many many years or just a few during this last part of his life. ( The ward members, Jeanette Vernon, and the staff at the Sandstone healthcare group in Millcreek. )

A viewing and Services will be held on Monday July 29 at the Hoytsville church. 1095 S Hoytsville Rd Hwy 189, Hoytsville UT 84017.
