David Boettcher

David Boettcher was born in Salt Lake City Utah to his parents Barbara and Robert Boettcher, May 22, 1968 and he passed away October 19th 2024 due to complications of an auto accident.

Dave is the second of four sons. He grew up the majority of his life in Murray attending Liberty Elementary, Riverview Jr High, and Murray High School.

Dave along with other passions loved photography, aircraft, air shows, military history, smart remarks, and settling scores. He never liked seeing someone get away Scott free with something they shouldn’t.

Over the years, Dave was an avid marksman, and enjoyed collecting many things, from collecting cassettes and enameled pins in his early years, to his massive collection of NASCAR memorabilia, to his latest collection of US coins.

Dave was able to overcome many great challenges in life. One of the biggest was when he fell ill and was taken to the hospital, only to have his leg removed to save his life.

Dave was preceded in death by his brother Rob (Rae), his aunt Sally, uncle Charlie and cousin David, his grandmother Florence Boettcher & grandfather Knoble Boettcher, and his grandparents Alice and Bill Brown. Dave is survived by his parents, Barbara & Robert Boettcher, brothers Jon (Jayme), Danny, Sister in law Rae along with his nephews Justin, William and Michael as well as his nieces Elizabeth (Duncan) and Katelyn, he is also survived by cousin’s Lori, and Charlene (Jamie).
