Darren B. Holt, 55, died on October 4, 2018 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born on April 10, 1963 in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Jay Brent Holt and Judi A. Nofsinger. After graduating high school Darren attended a trade tech specializing in autobody and paint. Painting vehicles was his true passion in life, and something he was extraordinarily talented at. More than anything, he loved going home each weekend to Helper, where he and Susan purchased their dream home. Darren worked for CPC and Granite Construction for over 30 years, where he was a highly respected employee. He met many lifelong friends through work, who became more like family.
Darren met the love of his life, his soul mate, Susan Jensen Holt in October 1984. It was love at first site, and not only did he love Susan with all his heart, he embraced her son Darren Jr. and took him in as his own since day one. Darren and Susan were married June 28, 1985 and were blessed with two more children. He was a proud dad and grandpa and loved his family more than anything.
Darren is survived by his loving wife, Susan L. Jensen Holt of 33 years; children, Darren Jensen Holt, Cody (Haley) Holt and Lindsey (Chris) Porter; 7 grandchildren; father, Jay B. Holt; mother, Judi (Bob) Quayle; brothers, Rick (Suzette) Holt and Lynn (Trudy) Holt; many other family members who loved him dearly.
