Darrell C. Saunders

Midvale, UT- Darrell C. Saunders, age 83, passed away May 10, 2021 in Sandy, Utah. He was born March 7, 1938 in Ogden, Utah to Clarence Reuben Saunders and Opal Wyoming Crouch. He married Dianne Dutson on May 21, 1956 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple the day before their high school graduation.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years. He was preceded in death by their four children Monty, Laura, Lisa, and Larry and looked forward to a glorious reunion with them and other deceased loved ones. Besides his wife he is survived by his daughter-in-law Renee (Monty's wife) and their 7 adoring grandchildren Adrian (Scott), Ethan (Natasha), Brian (Chelsea), Ashley (Matt), Amy (Jordan), Logan (Emily) and Allen, 17 great-grandchildren and his sisters Joy (Gary) and Kay (Rod), and four brothers Lorin (Cleo), Keith (Judy), Ray, Mark (LuWane) and sister-in-law Delma.

Darrell was active in the LDS Church having served in a bishopric and for several years as Explorer Scout leader. He and Dianne were owner and manager of Interwest Publishing Company for more than 40 years. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, John Wayne movies, and Louis L'Amour books. Most of all he loved the gospel and his family.

There will be no funeral but a viewing will be held Friday, May 14 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Goff Mortuary, 8090 S. State St., Midvale, UT. Following the viewing, interment will be at the Aultorest Memorial Park, 836 36th St., Ogden, UT.
