Darlene Pew

July 20, 1953 — March 12, 2020

Darlene Pew

In loving memory of Darlene Wilkey Pew, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, aunt, cousin and friend passed away peacefully on March 12, 2020. She is having an amazing reunion with the love of her life, Franklin Craig Pew, who she missed dearly since his passing in 2007.

Darlene was born on July 20, 1953, in Nephi, Utah to Fred and Helen Wilkey. On December 20, 1969, she married Franklin Craig Pew. Together they had 5 girls, Ronica, Ronda, ReAnnun, RaeLene "Bean," and Micklena.

Darlene loved spending time with family, whether that be taking family trips to Disneyland or Bear World, attending family parties, or just being teased by her family. She loved to just sit back and watch the chaos. She enjoyed sewing, reading and cooking (especially her chicken and who can forget her gravy). She also had a lot of bears that she collected over the years.

Darlene, with aching hearts we say, we love you to the moon and back, always have and always will.

Darlene is survived by her daughters, Ronica (Trev) Newell, Ronda (Troy) Lange, ReAnnun (Gaylen) Newton, Raelene "Bean" (Kasey) Christensen and Micklena (Tristan) Frampton. Darlene cherished her 11 grandchildren Zach Lange, Brandon Smith, Braxton Smith, Wyatt Lange, Raygen Newton, Miya Frampton, Taylor Newton, Jaytyn Christensen, Phenyx Frampton, Kaele Christensen and Axyl Frampton and 2 great-grandchildren Halee Anderson and Hayzlee Smith.

Darlene was preceded in death by the love of her life Franklin Craig Pew, her baby brother Errol Wilkey, sister Kaye W. Sperry, nephew Tyrone Jackman, parents Fred and Helen Wilkey and her mother and father in-law Frank and Rowena Pew.

Darlene's family will greet family and friends from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, March 16, 2020 at the Anderson Funeral Home (94 West 300 North, Nephi, Utah). Funeral services will be held at the Nephi Stake Center (351 North 100 West) on Tuesday, March 17, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. A viewing will be held at the chapel, one hour prior to the services.

Our family wishes to express gratitude for the dignified, loving care rendered to Darlene during her stay at Central Valley Medical Center. A special thank you to Dr. Rosenbeck, Julieanne Parkin, Janna Bryan and Robyn Aagard.
