Darlene Dee Moran

Darlene Dee Moran, a choice daughter of our Father in Heaven, passed away August 6, 2016, in her sleep while vacationing with her family in Flagstaff, AZ. Darlene was born January 16, 1945, to Bruce and Pearl Lydon in Lewiston, ID. She married Vermond L. Moran on March 10, 1972, sealed for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake Temple on September 10, 1974. The calling she enjoyed most was teaching the youth of the ward. Darlene was a devoted wife, sister, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is loved and appreciated by all, and spent many hours serving others. Darlene enjoyed fishing, camping, and teaching her grandchildren how to cook.

Darlene is survived by her beloved husband Vermond, her four children, Robert (Kaylynn), Jesse, Jason (Jolene), Tresa, and step children Eric and Kevin (Heather); her ten grandchildren, Alexis (Jake Rekoutis), Trisha, Ciera, Cheyanne, Alec, Jaycee, Emma, Randi, Stokely, and Wyatt, and step grandchildren Spencer, Jullianne, Troy, and Charley; and her great-grandchild, Gatlin, sisters, Beatrice Lydon and Gloria Fox, and brother, Terry Fox.

Darlene was preceded in death by her mother and her father and her younger brother Tim Sutherland.

A special thanks to all the employees at The Little America Hotel in Flagstaff, AZ for their kindness and support during our time of need.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 13, at 11:00 am at the West Jordan 43rd Ward, 6695 S. 2200 W., West Jordan, UT 84084. A viewing will be held at the church Friday, August 12, from 6:00-8:00 pm, as well as Saturday starting at 10:00 am at the church. Interment will be at Redwood Memorial Cemetery, 6500 S. Redwood Rd., Salt Lake City, UT 84123.
