Daniel M. Dunn

June 29, 1979 — July 28, 2024

Daniel M. Dunn

We are so saddened by the sudden and unexpected passing of Daniel M. Dunn, our beloved son, brother, father, friend, nephew, grandson, cousin, uncle, therapist, and coworker. Daniel passed away on Sunday July 28, 2024, in his home in Price, Utah.

Daniel was born on June 29, 1979, in Provo, Utah to Michael Ray Dunn and Ella Marie Bird Dunn. He was the youngest of four children – three girls and a boy with him being the only boy who was beloved and adored!

Dan grew up in Lyman, Wyoming and attended Lyman Elementary, Middle, and High School graduating in 1997. Dan attended Western Wyoming Community College and earned an Associate of Science degree after which he served a mission in San Francisco, California for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Upon returning from his mission in 2001, he attended the University of Wyoming where he earned a Bachelors of Sports Medicine. He was accepted to the University of Montana in Missoula in the Physical Therapy program. He graduated with a Master of Science in Physical Therapy on July 29, 2005.

Dan worked as a Physical Therapist in Lander, Wyoming, Cheyenne, Wyoming, Spanish Fork, Utah and was currently employed as a Physical Therapist at Pinnacle Nursing and Rehabilitation in Price, Utah at the time of his passing. Even at his job, Dan loved being in the service of his fellow man. He loved helping those around him in need and was known for his big heart, generosity, and his quirky and ridiculous sense of humor.

Dan married Cassie Delong in 2002 and their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls temple. They were married for twelve years and had two children. Jace Daniel Dunn, age 15 and Addison Marie Dunn, age 12. Dan and Cassie divorced in 2014.

Dan loved the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing, and camping. He always prided himself in physical fitness. His driving force to keep moving forward every day was the love for his children Jace and Addison and his family.

Daniel M. Dunn is survived by his parents Michael and Ella Dunn in Nephi Utah; his sisters Jessica Overy (Myles Lancett) in Scottsdale AZ; April Cram Schumaker (James) Bedford WY; Natalie Jorgensen Nephi, UT; his children Jace and Addison Dunn (Owens), his former spouse Cassie Owens - Ringold GA; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
