Daniel Ross Cowley

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our son, Daniel Ross Cowley, on March 11, 2025, at the age of 24. Born on February 27, 2001, Daniel brought immeasurable joy and light into our lives. He was an amazing and strong person who made a positive impact on everyone he met. He loved the outdoors, target shooting, four-wheeling, fishing, video games, and playing the guitar. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family and his two German Shepherds. Despite his disability, he made the most of his life. He amazed us daily with his ability to accomplish so much, even with his physical limitations. We will forever cherish the many wonderful memories we shared with him during his 24 years. He was an extraordinary example of strength and resilience, loved by all who knew him, and he will be deeply missed.

He is survived by his parents, Thomas and Kristi Cowley; his sister, Megan Cowley; his grandparents, Richard and Linda Cowley, and Gayle Engebretsen; as well as his many cousins. He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Jack Engebretsen.

A viewing will be held at Anderson & Goff Mortuary, 11859 South 700 East, Draper, UT 84020, on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m, additional parking available across the street from the Mortuary. A short viewing will take place prior to the funeral services at The Hillcrest Stake Center, 8485 South 1000 East, Sandy, UT 84094, on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow services at Sandy City Cemetery, 9000 South 700 East.
