A greatly loved and respected husband, father and Papa passed away peacefully at his home March 22, 2015. He was born March 29, 1955 to Arthur and Velma Buchanan in Innisfail Alberta Canada. In 1977 he moved to the United States and later made Utah his home. On August 3, 2002 he married the love of his life Merlyn Coleman, affectionately known as "Honeymom", and together they raised three amazing sons. More than anything, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. His free time was spent camping, fishing or dragging the kids around the lake on tubes. He also enjoyed riding his Harley and having BBQ's with all his great friends. Dany drove truck his whole life and made many great and long lasting friends. He worked for numerous trucking companies through the years. In 2014 he was able to start his own company Mountainside Enterprises with his son JR. In November 2014 he was able to help his son Cody get his CDL so that he could take over driving his truck and carry on the business. Spencer was his finance son so he gets to help Mom with the bookkeeping. Survived by his loving wife and best Friend Merlyn "Coleman" Buchanan, sons JR (Jadey) Schouten, Cody Daniel Buchanan and Spencer Estey, 2 grandsons who he adored more than anything Cash Schouten and Kaysen Buchanan. Brother Harold, sisters Myrtle (Fred) Martyn, Faye (Dennis Swenson) Osadchuk, Jean (Dan) Howten, Robert (Ron James) Shannon, Ruth (Dave) Zabeck, Joy (Vern Steinbrecker, Mother in law Darlene Coleman, Brother in law Paul (Gail) Coleman and Sister in law Laurie (Mike). Numerous nieces and nephews and more friends than you can count. Preceded in death by his Parents, father in law Myrlen Coleman, Brother Charles, Sister Carol, brothers in law Les Shannon, Sid Lenertz, sisters in law LaVonne Buchanan and Kay Lynn Coleman. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Utah Cancer Center. Funeral services will be held Saturday March 28, 2015 at 2:00 pm at Goff Mortuary 8090 South State Street, Midvale, Utah. Friends and family my call Friday March 27, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the services.
