Our beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend Richard Grant, age 82, passed away May 14, 2018.

Born in Salt Lake City, January 20, 1936 to Arthur Rollo Grant and Virginia Mae Buchanan. Married Cheryl Mae Jenson on August 28, 1962 in the Manti LDS Temple. Together they had 5 children and cared for several foster children. Richard worked as an Accountant for Utah Power and Light. He also served his community as a coach, scout leader, and in many callings in the LDS Church. With Cheryl, he served in the Jordan River Temple. He later Married Julie Ann Jensen on January 6, 1998. With Julie, he served as a missionary in the Addiction Recovery Program of the LDS Church.

He is survived by his five children, Sharee (Steve) Swertfeger, Sean R (Susan) Grant, Travis R (Sandy) Grant, Trevor R Grant, and Michelle (Keith) Howell; 17 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; his brother Arthur (Pam), and sisters Peggy and Rosalind. He was preceded in death by his parents, both wives, his brother (Leon), and his sisters (Arlene and Deanna).

Funeral services will be held Friday, May 18, 2018 at 11 am at the Midvale 7th Ward Chapel, 8350 S. Jackson Street. Friends and family may call at Goff Mortuary, 8090 S. State Street, Thursday 6-8 pm and Friday at the church from 9:45-10:45 am. Interment, Midvale City Cemetery.
