Connie Y. Mochizuki

Connie Yeiko Mochizuki was born July 22, 1922 in Ogden, Utah to Jiro and Kuniko Endow Mochizuki. She passed away peacefully on October 9, 2015 while a resident of Copper Ridge Nursing Home.

Connie spent her early years in Bingham Canyon and graduated from Bingham High School. She moved to Copperton and remained a long time resident there.

She was a long time employee of First Security Bank, now known as Wells Fargo Bank.

Connie enjoyed socializing with friends in Copperton and was a member of the Alter Society. She spent many hours in the service of others and enjoyed sewing, cooking, oil painting and shopping.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and brothers Minoru (Min), Isamu (Sam) and Masao (Jerry), and brother-in-law Aki Fujinami. Surviving her are brothers Takeo (Mary), George (Sue), sister Jane Fujinami, and sisters-in-law Ayako, Kou and Keiko Mochizuki. Also survived by many nephews, nieces and their children.

A special thanks to long time friends who helped in her later years in so many big and small ways.

Also a special thanks to the staff of Copper Ridge Health Care who provided the necessary care to make her last days comfortable.

A funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, Oct. 24, at 11 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church located at 8892 W. State Highway in Copperton, Utah. A visitation will be held Saturday at the church from 10-11 a.m.
