Concetta Scalise Mascaro passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family and friends on October 10, 2021.
She was born on May 5th, 1934, to Guiseppe and Anna Marie Scalise in Catanzaro Calabria Italy. She married Charles Pasquale Mascaro on July 5th, 1953, in Italy.
Together they had five boys Joe, Mario (Patti), Pete, Louie and Milio (Debbie). She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, brother, sons Mario, Louie and daughter-in-law Lisa.
She worked many years at Cottonwood Hospital, Holy Cross Hospital and retired from The OC Tanner Company. She was a recipient of many awards for her achievements and performance from her employers.
She took a lot of pride in her home and enjoyed working in her yard. She even received awards from Midvale City for having such a beautiful yard. She always looked forward to planting a vegetable garden every year, as well.
She had a big heart and never went to anyone's home empty handed. We will miss her wonderful cooking and exceptional Holiday dinners. No family or friends ever left our Mother's home hungry.
She is survived by her grandchildren Joey (Niki), Ben (Angie), Natalie, Michael, Ryan, Frank Boyce (Mi), Jenny Hendricks (Mitch), Julia Mascaro and April Wheat (Jordan), her great grandchildren Bridger, Dillon, Diesel, Logan, Liam, Ava, Keaton, Roman, Dalton, Madison, and Hudson.
We are so grateful to her cherished friends Dick and Kathy Jeffs, Norma Leone, Shelly Boyce, Michael and Nancy Fuoco and Tamara Gunderson for the love and care you gave our Mother. We would also like to thank her wonderful physicians, the staff at Intermountain Dialysis Center, Intermountain Medical Center, St. Marks Hospital and Canyon Home and Hospice Care for their care and devotion.
