Clell B. Whetman

On Sept. 24th, 2016, our loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend, Clell B. Whetman "Whitter" (87) quietly returned to his Heavenly Father and was reunited with his 'sweetheart' Donna Mae.

He was born May 5, 1929 in Sandy, Utah to Raymond and Eugenia Whetman. He married Donna Mae Jenkins on Sept. 26, 1958, and was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS temple.

From an early age, Whitter was "born to be a baker." It was a career that fed his nurturing spirit. He loved serving and taking care of others. We will miss his stories, his sense of humor and his love of life. He took great pride in so many things, including his family, friends and yard. He had a special fondness for gardening. Whitter spent the majority of his life in Midvale, and finished the last ten years residing in St. George, Utah.

Clell is survived by his children, Vance (Eileen) Whetman, Sherry (Ronn) Cordova, Matthew (Aimee) Whetman, Mitchell (Dustie) Whetman, 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Donna Mae, his parents, 5 siblings and his son Terry Ray Whetman.

Funeral services will be Saturday, Oct. 1st, 2016, at 11 am at Midvale 5th Ward Stake Center, 8171 S. Jackson St. (225 E). Friends may call Friday from 6 to 8 pm at Goff Mortuary, 8090 S. State St. and at the church 1 hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Midvale City Cemetery.
