Cindy Baird

Beloved Mother, Grandmother, sister, and friend passed away in her home on Monday, September 5, 2016. Cindy was born July 18, 1962 to Jena V Steggell and George W. Baird of Grantsville, Utah where she was born and raised. She spent most of her life in Grantsville, raising her children. She later moved to Columbia, Utah where she made her final home with her beloved animals, Tanker, Gizmo and Rocko Fluff. Cindy was well known for her giving heart. She took in many and gave them love and hope. She would literally give the shirt off her back to anyone in need. She loved helping others find the road back. Cindy thoroughly enjoyed working whether it was in her home, someone elses home, or as a traffic control signaler for Carbon County. She will be greatly missed by everyone that knew and came in contact with her. Cindy was preceded in death by her parents Jena V Steggell Baird and George W. Baird, her daughters Nannette Jena V Baird and Stephanie D. Hunt, her Aunt Shirley Evans and Uncle Gene Evans. Cindy is survived by her children Randy G. Baird (Camille Quinn), Jamie M. Swann, and Amanda Hunt (Brandon Davis). Her grandchildren Cameron Baird, Kylysta Otteson, Brelynne Otteson, Mikhail Moore, Devin Baird, Kiernon Swann, Mckynlee Davis, Madison Otteson, Hayden Davis, Dylan Swann, Jason Swann, and Hadlee Davis. Her sisters Pat Tucker Burpee (Mark Burpee), Paula Hunt (Floyd Hunt), Thomas Baird (Kelly Nelson), and Kathy Madsen along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins who she loved dearly. The family wishes to express a special thank you to Rochelle Nilson who was a friend and caretaker of Cindy. The endless things Rochelle did for Cindy are beyond thankless and there are no words to express the appreciation and kindness she had. A memorial will be held on Saturday, September 10, 2016 at Dalton-Hoopes Funeral Parlor at 150 W. Main St. in Grantsville, Utah from 5-7 p.m. Thank you to all who have supported the family through our loss.
