Christopher Luckau

The all-being master of time, space and dimension, Christopher Luckau, departed from our world on September 15, 2018. Born on June 15, 1960, in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Chris was always ready to have a good time and was known for being the life of the party. His charisma, quick wit and smart mouth helped him in and out of trouble in his youth. He was truly a child of the 60's and grew up with a passion for rock music, Led Zeppelin remaining his favorite.

Some of Chris' fondest memories were the days spent at amusement parks and in arcades with his family. He even took his wife to Lagoon for their honeymoon in 1981. He was also quite the mountain man, spending as much time as he could outdoors fishing and hiking with friends. Other annual activities included building huge snow forts in the backyard with his daughters and making Bullwinkle impressions while camping.

Chris was everyone's go-to Brainiac. He had a brilliant mind and could offer assistance with almost any subject from spelling or poetry to carpentry and gardening. He was also an impeccable pool player due to his excellent math skills. Ever the computer whiz, he acted as the service manager of Software and More for over 20 years. Not only a hardware guy, he had a knack for software as well. After his back was injured in a car accident, he spent endless hours with his kids playing PC games like King's Quest and Carmageddon.

Chris was methodical and thoughtful. He was extremely careful with decisions and money. One of his proudest moments was when he became a grandfather and met his granddaughter for the first time. He was a dedicated grandparent and was very involved in helping all three grandkids reach their potential.

Grampy passed too soon and left some broken hearts behind. He is survived by his loving wife, Michele; his beautiful daughters, Anastacia and Monica; his admiring son-in-laws Kenny Plehn and Nate Draper; and his three adoring grandchildren Kairi, Roxas, and Axel; as well as his 6 siblings and countless friends and extended family. Preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Valerie Luckau.

A Celebration of Life will be held on October 13, 2018, from 2-7 pm at the Luckau residence in Sandy, Utah.
