Our kind and loving mother, sister, aunt and friend Cheryl Lynn Walton (65) passed away April 8, 2020 at her home in Midvale, UT, with her loving, devoted sons by her side.
Cheryl was born September 8, 1954 in Richfield, UT to Forrest (Corky) Christiansen and Shirley Janssen and grew up in Monroe, UT. She was the sixth of seven children. She graduated from South Sevier High in 1972 and attended Snow College in Ephraim, UT. She married Joe Walton in 1973 (later divorced). They had one son, Nick Walton.
Cheryl loved her family very much. She also loved to read, play cards and games, camping, making candy and quilts with her sisters, fan of the New England Patriots, enjoyed her special TV programs and recipe collecting. She enjoyed and had quite the Coca-Cola and penguin collection! Cheryl always made you feel special with her thoughtful and beautiful gift giving. Regardless of what she was asked to do or tough experiences she was tasked with she had such a positive demeanor. Her "Don't give up" spirit was greatly admired.
She is preceded in death by her parents Forrest (Corky) Christiansen and Shirley (Mike) Janssen, siblings Carolyn Patterson, Forrest Ray Christiansen, brother-in-law Randy Edwards.
She is survived by her son Nick Walton, son-in-law John Tirone, her siblings Catheryn (John) Simmons, Connie (Than) Henrie, Colleen Robinson and Randy (Ella) Christiansen.
Due to the CoVid-19 pandemic, there will be no funeral services at this time. A celebration of life will be announced at a later time.
