Cheryl Lee Peterson

Cheryl Lee Williams Peterson, 73, our loving mother and grandmother, passed away on December 2, 2020 in West Jordan, Utah. She was born in Payson, Utah to George Wesley Williams and Margaret Tolley. Cheryl married Dennis Carl Peterson on February 17, 1968 in Nephi, Utah. The marriage was later solemnized in the Manti Temple. She attended Snow College and graduated with an Associate's degree in Business.

Cheryl was the most devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her family. She excelled at work-life balance, holding several careers while always making the time for family, friends, and church callings. She actively engaged in her children and grandchildren's lives, attending and participating in their interests. She was in a book club with her daughters and close friends for over 20 years and loved attending plays and musicals. She enjoyed traveling, especially creating new memories with her family.

She will be remembered for being a great cook, known for her famous rolls and chicken noodle soup. A skilled seamstress, she blessed the lives of many people with her quilts, sewing, and needlework. She was an avid fan of the Utah Jazz, rarely missing a game.

Cheryl's faith was a guiding force in her life. As a devout member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she served faithfully in her numerous callings. Through her Christ-like service many lives were touched and lifelong friendships created. Her happiness came from serving others and doing her very best.
